After careful consideration Michelle has decided that the time is right to retire Inka from flyball. This beautiful quirky girl was the reason Michelle began flyballing some years ago and she has taught us all many lessons on her journey through her flyball career to retirement. We are so proud of everything we achieved together and will miss her funny ways. Enjoy the sofa gorgeous girl, you’ve earned it!
Inka is a rescue dog who sadly had a very hard start in life due to the overuse of an electric collar and extremely harsh handling. She was also diagnosed with elbow dysplacia and arthritis when she was 1 year old. Her condition has been managed through surgery, hydrotherapy and many other complementary therapies, and years on she still successfully trains and competes at flyball with no side effects.
Inka is an original TimeFlyZ dog and she has come a long way since she began her training with us. Her difficult start in life presented us with both handling challenges and also dog-to-dog worries. We took our time to build her confidence and selected her team-mates carefully to help teach her to race within the pack, as it better suits her stamina. Her fastest ever recorded training time is 4.89 seconds and she averages 5.1 seconds in competition. We are really proud of what this lovely girl has achieved.
